Shimla was once the summer capital of the Raj. They left behind their symbols of empire and a railway but they also left a divided India. Maqsood is a Kashmiri refugee, John is a teacher looking for a home. Sanjay is the Station Master looking for promotion but his boss is still waiting for a transfer. But everybody is waiting for snow.
