In August 1947, British India was hastily partitioned. Independence was attended by a bloodbath. Over a million people were killed and 8 million made refugees – Hindus Muslims and Sikhs: But that tragic legacy is slowly being eroded through another British legacy – the Railways.
The stories of some of the people who work, travel or depend on these railway lines take us on a journey through the sub-continent as they share their hopes needs and desires on INDIA’S FRONTIER RAILWAYS.
